Impeachment by Republicans?

If District Attorney for the Southern District of Texas Johnny Suttons mission was to bring down the presidency of George Bush, he’s doing a great job. He’s been telling some tall tales to the media, talk show hosts and Republican members of Congress trying to cover up the details of the Border Patrol Agents while destroying their reputation.

Yesterday’s bombshell that the Inspector General of I.C.E. has admitted that his people has been actively lying to  Republican members of Congress for months trying to back up Suttons Actions is too much.

There was a time the Bush Administration could have given the Agents a pardon and have a talk with Sutton and the Bush appointed Federal Judge could have ended this mess. That time passed in a Homeland Security Sub-Committee yesterday.

70 Members of Congress now understand what’s going on, and have agreed to sponsor a bill to free the agents.

The logical thing to do is to

  1. Pardon the agents
  2. Fire Sutton
  3. File Charges of Obstruction of Justice on Sutton and his accomplices
  4. Investigate Sutton’s recent cases
  5. Start protecting the Borders

I haven’t seen anything logical about this case yet, including the President attitude.

I believe if the Democrats joined in with the Republicans that are tired of getting lied to by to the Administration they could make a good case to impeach the President. At lease a much better case that Sutton made against the Agents. Of course the Democrats might just roll the weakened President to get what they want now and harm the Republican Party. All I know is there are members of the executive branch lying about this case. Isn’t that a cover-up?
